last week, perspectiv's 'family tree 2' compilation saw the light of day. besides new tracks from agnes, ripperton and a myriad of other artists, i'm featured with a new track called 'pareidolia'.

pareidolia is a psychological phenomenon where people perceive random stimuli as being significant. this usually takes the shape of seeing images of jesus or the virgin mary in all kind of weird places, but it can also happen with audio. there are numerous examples of people hearing voices in the hiss of tape recordings, preferably with messages from the other side.
now listen to the break of 'pareidolia', around 0:41:
maybe you hear some sort of low-pitched voice, like i do. the thing is: i didn't put it there. so most likely it's the good ol' human brain at work, hungry for patterns. either that, or it's the sweet lord jesus himself commanding the beat to drop back in.
the 'family tree 2' compilation is available digitally from beatport. for a preview, you can visit my myspace page or check out the discog section of this site.

I played it backwards and it said "the end is NOT nigh"
yikes!
